Some tips to make it easier
If you found this version of the song difficult to play, simply substitute the inverted E7/G# chord for E7. And if you don't know the guitar dominant 7th chords yet, you can simply play E instead of E7, although I advise you in this case to try to learn the 7th version because it is actually easier to play.
Review of the song and some fun facts
Dont Look Back In Anger is a song by the rock band Oasis, released in 1995 within their second studio album , whose name is (What's the Story) Morning Glory?.
It started off as a song of defiance, about this woman: She's metaphorically seeing the diary of her life pass by, and she's thinking, 'You know what? I have no regrets.' She's raising a glass to it
Noel Gallagher
Although this song is sung by Noel Gallagher, it was going to be initially sing by his brother Liam. The problem is that Liam wanted to sing both Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall , so Noel told him to pick one and he would sing the other.
Another interesting aspect that we can find in the song is the great influence of The beatles and, especially, of John Lennon , as the intro is taken from the Imagine song. In addition, the phrase "So I start a revolution from my bed" is a clear reference to the peace protest initiated by Lennon and Yoko during the Vietnam War.
And the fact is that the influence that the scouser singer has had on the Manchester musician has always been very strong. So much so that Noel has come to refer to "Don't Look Back In Anger" as his "Hey Jude" , due to the tremendous success and transcendence that the song has had.
Transcendence that increased, by the way, after the terrible attack suffered at the Manchester Arena during a concert of Ariana Grande in which 22 people died.
Likewise, the song has been embraced in the world of football as an anthem after England's defeat during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
As for awards and certifications, this single reached the highest positions in the charts of Ireland, Scotland, England or Canada, to name a few countries. Likewise, it has won several gold and platinum certification in places like Finland, United Kingdom or Japan.
